MCG hat sich mit ihrem sechsten Album Lots of Sapra Zeit gelassen. Und diese Gelassenheit hört man jedem der 13 Songs deutlich an. Es erwartet den Hörer eine geballte Ladung an Chillout-, Jazz-, World-, Elektro- und Ambient-Klängen mit zumeist perkussivem, magischem Klangteppich.
Wounded Knee überzeugt in Shamanen-mäßiger Anmut. Bei Baptized Mouse, Tailor Black und Prosecco for the Contra Bass wird jeweils kräftig der Jazzbesen gerührt.
Die eigentliche Kunst bei MCG Songs besteht darin, daß alle Tracks eine eigene Dynamik mit fast schon mantra-artiger Sogwirkung entwickeln und die vielfältigen Rhythmen bieten die perfekte Grundlage dazu.
Lots of Sapra bringt eine frische Weiterentwicklung in punkto Sound und Song Strukturen, im Vergleich zum bisherigen Schaffen der Künstlerin. Man fühlt sich schnell zuhause bei diesem genialen Album von MCG! For the new album Lots of Sapra MCG has taken her time. And this serenity takes over of all of the 13 tracks obviously. The listener will get a load of Chillout-, Jazz-, World-, Electro-, and Ambient-tunes with a percussive and magical sound-carpet.
Wounded Knee convinces with it’s kind of Shaman grace like. Baptized Mouse, Tailor Black and Prosecco for the Contra Bass all stir the jazz brush in a strong way.
The virtual art of MCG songs exist therein that all tracks evolve an own dynamic with almost a mantra like suction effect perfectly based on manifold rhythms.
Lots of Sapra shows a refreshed derivative in sound and song structure, compared to the previous works of the artist MCG. One is feeling quite at home rapidly with this genius album of MCG. Everybody should also take account of the very shrewd chosen Bavarian-English wordplay on the titles, which degenerates to mental exercise to the intent hearer quickly!
